It's true, I'm terrible at keeping this site updated.  Factor in a
busy schedule, the joys of being a new homeowner, and
making a point of enjoying this spectacular summer in
Buffalo, it's too much to keep up with, so I'm going to let this
site be for now and lead you all to my
Myspace page.  It's
always got a fully updated schedule, fun photos, and all the
bio info you need.  Mosey on over and say hi!

biography
Dee Adams has been likened to some of today's most influential women in music - women like Bonnie Raitt, Edie Brickell,
Jonatha Brooke, and Sheryl Crow.  With an education in vocal performance (from both Eastman and Berklee), a father that is
rock-n-roll to his soul, and years of performing with her Alvarez jumbo, it only fits that she’d be compared to those great
women.

Dee writes and sings punchy, poetic, acoustically driven songs drenched in hooks and harmonies, while her voice is warm,
rich, and bluesy.  Reviews have coined Dee’s style as “earthy”, “sweet to spunky”, and have said that she has “lyrics that
speak to the heart and mind”.

Among Dee’s accolades and accomplishments is her appearance on the 2002
Songs Inspired By Literature compilation.
Having been named Grand Prize Winner of the 2002 Songs Inspired by Literature songwriting contest, Dee’s song
“Pennsylvania” can be found alongside tracks donated by David Bowie, Roseanne Cash, Steve Earle, and Tom Waits.

In February 2003, Dee’s EP with travelling band The Roadtrippers was released on
Sage Indie Music, called Taking My Time.
A lush, well produced set of songs punctuate the intention of Dee’s music – to keep some fun in  the act of introspection.  You
can purchase this EP by visiting Sage Indie Music’s virtual store.

Dee moved to Buffalo NY in 2004 and in a short 10 months of actively playing venues in town, was awarded the 2005 Buffalo
Music Awards category of Best Original Acoustic Solo.  Currently, Dee Adams is working with Charlie Gannon on electric
guitar,
Mike Tinsmon on bass, and Nick Runfola on drums as Dee & The Housecats to create a genuine rock-mixed-with-blues
music experience.  From Dylan to Wilco, Sheryl Crow to Pretenders, old blues songs to originals,  Dee & The Housecats are
putting their sound all over Buffalo.
